@52Drummers is a ārotation curationā Instagram community for drummers. The project showcases drummers across the world by introducing a new beat-keeper each week for a year.
This means that the profile switches its host every week for a year, introducing a new drummer each Monday throughout 2026.
The first year of @52Drummers has hosted Grammy-nominated drummers, to youngsters just starting out; drummers from the US, Poland, India, Malta, and everywhere in between!
@52Drummers provides drummers from around the world a fun, friendly platform to host weekly takeover and introduce themselves to a global drumming community – sharing stories, videos, discussion and interactive content about the life of a drummer.
Meet The Founder
Liam McKinnon
I founded @52Drummers in 2025, combining my careers in drumming, marketing and community building.
I live in Frome, Somerset, UK and have been a drummer all my life. I first picked up the sticks at 7 years old and, as well as holding things down behind the kit, I can often be found playing cajon and/or percussion.
I’m a professional gigging and recording musician, playing in bands and projects, including alongside Steven Page (ex-Barenaked Ladies), Boothby Graffoe, Planet Janet, and various covers and wedding/corporate acts.
@52Drummers started with a simple idea: what if we could spend a year discovering 52 drummers we’d never otherwise have met? No matter where you’re from or how long you’ve been playing, @52Drummers is a space and community to strut your stuff and enjoy everything drumming-related!
